Dry Needling

What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling involves the insertion of a needle without the use of injection into muscles, ligaments, tendons, subcutaneous fascia, and scar tissue.

How can Dry Needling Help?

Dry needling focuses on stimulating a specific trigger point that is leading to pain and disability.

Needles are slowly inserted into the body, gently manipulated and removed after a short period.  The process is repeated several times.

Dry needling treats specific neuromuscular issues that are causing pain and hindering mobility.

Needles are inserted in detected trigger points or hard “knots”.

Needles are intended to release tension, inflammation, chemicals, or pressure on specific trigger points that cause muscle pain.

Dry needling is based on Western anatomical and neurophysiological principles, as opposed to the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique of acupuncture.
